This concept is inspired by the concept of strobe-caging within the Impacting community and utilization of the depth perception concepts I’ve created in the past.
Tech-caging is a concept that utilizes the negative space that your hands create when close to the camera. This concept requires sometimes making physical contact with the camera to create isolation points and unique negative spaces unavailable when not connected or close to the camera.
It’s creating cages (negative space) around the viewer and manipulating what’s in the cage using depth , or even warping the cage.
Obviously this concept will be more prominent in online shows. It emphasizes the shapes and curves your hands make on a closer level and introduces a level of depth-play not commonly used in lightshows.
